Generator Services | Phosters FS

To provide an N + 1 Generator system, to support site load including essential UPS equipment, at Blackberry Slough as part of their UK operation on behalf of our client Phosters FS. On a newly acquired building as part of a major overhaul and refit

Objectives

To carry out a full electrical installation, including the layout and 'making off' of underground and ceiling mounted armoured cables via ladder racking and underground ducting.
To deliver/offload/position Generators in an allotted area.
To pre install and test the system in advance of site commissioning.

What we did

A fully automatic system comprising;
2 x 550kva automatic start Generators, connected through a bespoke automatic LV switchgear panel.
Generators installed into high acoustic weatherproof enclosures.
Cabling from the Generators ran in underground trenches outside the building, entering the basement carpark running along the carpark ceiling and entering the ground floor switchgear panel room from underneath.
Pre commissioning tests including mains failure simulation. On-site proof testing with portable resistance Load testing units, from our Loadbank fleet.
System designed, tested, and fully commissioned so that in the event of a generator failure. The standby generator would automatically start and take up the site load. (An N+1 system).

‘The project was the first of many, and went as expected without any problems. We will be using Powerpro Generator Services for the next phase
God job guys.’
